Started out as an 87 4Runner - now she is MERICA YOTA

This page is for the 1987 Toyota 4Runner I have owned since I was 18 years old. I began to modify this vehicle immediately, first with a lift kit and bigger tires, then using a cutting torch to remove the IFS and fabricating mounts for leaf springs and an 85 Yota front solid axle. Later I swapped out the rear axle for a Ford 9" after I got tired of blowing up the Yota Rear Axle Ring and pinion every 6 months. I did get pretty good at rebuilding rear axles quickly. lol. Scroll down for more recent modifications.
